Vacuum-Packed Cans

Vacuum packing is a method of packaging that removes air from the package prior to sealing. Metal, Composite and plastic cans may be vacuum sealed. In the event that the vacuum exceeds the strength of the can walls an Inert Gas Flush (Typically Nitrogen) may be added to displace vacuum without adding oxygen, to strengthen the can walls. Dixie Canner offers Vacuum and Gas Flush Can Seamers. Removing oxygen from the package before hermetically sealing preserves protect and extends shelf life. Many foods, beverages, powders, nutra and pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and devices benefit from the vacuum packaging process. Our Model UVGD-AL-HMI Can Seamer operates in Atmospheric, Vacuum only and Vacuum with Gas Flush Modes. Our Model UVGMD-AL-HMI also operates in those 3 modes but also adds the ability to perform MultiFlushing- programing a series of vacuum, gas flush and Dwell (If needed) cycles before can and lid are hermetically sealed. You may program between one complete series up to an additional 10 more cycles.
